The abstract should include specific information about the results and conclusions of the research. Abstracts stating “results will be discussed” will not be accepted. The abstract should have a clear connection to microscopy. Oral presentations will be limited to Time (unless otherwise agreed with the Scientific Committee), including time for questions. Presenting authors must register and pay registration prior to Date or their presentation will be removed from the program. All abstracts received by the deadline of 15 September 2026 will be reviewed. Other forms of submission e.g. email, post, fax will not be accepted.
Abstract Formatting
Submitted abstracts will be reviewed for presentation and must be prepared in strict adherence to the instructions listed below:
Please type, single-spaced, an abstract of 250 words maximum (one half page of standard A4 size) in Times New Roman, 12 pt with Times New Roman 14pt bold for the title. Diagrams, figures, tables and references may be included but must still fit within the single A4 ‘normal’ page margins.
The title should be brief, specific and should reflect the content of the presentation. Please do not use abbreviations in the title.
The abstract should substantially outline the content of the presentation, including conclusions.
References are to be numbered in alphabetical order and should use APA formatting. All references must be cited in the text.
Abstracts must be submitted as either .docx, doc, or .pdf files.
The submitter is responsible for checking spelling, grammar, and formatting. Only minor edits will be undertaken by conference organisers and any abstract needing major edits will be returned to the submitting author.
Submitters will be notified if their abstract has been successful by Mid-October 2026.
